"BSPP Successfully Conducted GMP Training on Gap Analysis and CCS Implementation Roadmap".

Bangladesh Society for Pharmaceutical Professionals (BSPP) successfully conducted a day-long Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training titled “Gap Analysis and CCS Implementation Roadmap for WHO TRS-1044 Annex 2: A Holistic Challenge for Parenteral Product Manufacturing in Bangladesh.” The training was held at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB), Farmgate, Dhaka on 29 November 2025  from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The program commenced with an inaugural session graced by Professor Ishtiaq Mahmud, Ph.D, President of BSPP and former Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, University of Dhaka. Professor Mahmud highlighted the critical importance of strengthening Contamination Control Strategies (CCS) and enhancing GMP compliance to ensure product quality, patient safety, and global competitiveness in Bangladesh’s parenteral manufacturing sector.

The event was further honored by the presence of Mr. Mohammad Nayeem Golder, Director, DGDA, as Special Guest, and Dr. Md. Akter Hossain, Ph.D, Director, DGDA, as Chief Guest. Both emphasized DGDA’s commitment to regulatory excellence and encouraged pharmaceutical professionals to adopt international best practices while maintaining robust GMP systems.

The technical sessions were led by Mohammad Ismail Bablu, GM, Quality Operations, Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd., who delivered an in-depth presentation on gap analysis, risk-based approaches, and the CCS implementation framework aligned with WHO TRS-1044 Annex 2.

Additionally, Mr. Mohammad Nayeem Golder provided an insightful overview of DGDA’s regulatory expectations, compliance priorities, and emerging sectoral requirements. Participants appreciated the session for its clarity, practical relevance, and alignment with global GMP standards.

Dr. Md. Akter Hossain, Ph.D delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of continuous professional development and sustained quality improvement within the pharmaceutical industry.

The program was coordinated and moderated by Sheikh Nizam Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director, Sodical Chemical, whose guidance ensured the smooth execution of the event.

The training witnessed enthusiastic participation from technical experts representing leading pharmaceutical organizations, including Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., AristoPharma Ltd., Opsonin Pharma Ltd., Ambee Pharmaceuticals Ltd., The Ibn Sina Pharmaceuticals Industry PLC, Bio Pharma Ltd., ACI Ltd.,  Navana Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Unido Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Certificates were awarded to all participants in recognition of their active engagement and successful completion of the training.
